It’s not just about 1-1 dinners. It’s about forging the sort of deeply trusting relationships required between investors and entrepreneurs, without gender issues or emotion getting in the way. We all joke about the startup “bromances” we see around us, but in jocus, veritas. Investing in someone’s vision, or having your vision invested in, is akin to marriage. And until we all can come to grips with the fact that a business marriage can be just as asexual as a literal marriage (OK that bit was a joke), nothing is going to change.
